12 Jyotirlinga Sloka:

ॐ नमः शिवाय।

“द्रक्ष्यसि षोडशाक्षरं,
गंगाचलनिवासिनम्।
गच्छ देवमयं स्थानं,
तस्य वासं समाचरेत्।”

This verse is a prayer invoking the presence of Lord Shiva through the 12 Jyotirlingas. It symbolizes worship of Lord Shiva at each of the sacred places where his divine radiance is believed to reside.

सौराष्ट्रे सोमनाथं च श्रीशैले मल्लिकार्जुनम्।
उज्जयिन्यां महाकालं ओम्कारम् अमलेश्वरम्॥
परल्यां वैद्यनाथं च डाकिन्यां भीमशङ्करम्।
सेतुबन्धे तु रामेशं नागेशं दारुकावने॥
वाराणस्यां तु विश्वेशं त्र्यम्बकं गौतमीतटे।
हिमालये तु केदारं घुश्मेशं च शिवालये॥
एतानि ज्योतिर्लिङ्गानि सायं प्रातः पठेन्नरः।
सपुंवति सर्वदुःखैः प्रणतोऽस्मि सदा शिवं॥

    • One who recites these twelve Jyotirlingas in the morning and evening.
  8. Sapunvāti Sarvadukhaiḥ Praṇato’smi Sadā Śivam
    • Shall be freed from all sufferings and always be under the protection of Lord Shiva.
